Lowe's Workshop

We went to a Lowe's Build & Grow workshop for the kids

Now cruising around the store picking up a few things we needed.

Corben is now attending Brighten Academy Preschool

He goes 2 days a week during the summer and then will switch to 3 days a week in the fall.

He had a great first day and made this Owl. He actually cut all the pieces out with scissors by himself and glued the pieces on!  His teachers are Mrs. Sheehan and Miss Amy.

He also went for his 4 year check up at the doctor

Reading Nook

I made the red pillows out of place mats and the kids helped me stuff them and then I sewed them!

 (yes... read that right I sewed) 

Papa John made these custom book shelves and then I stained them. 

(Ikea spice racks were on back order, however, their site listed the dimensions, so Papa John custom made our book shelves for about the same price Ikea was selling them).

Garden Update

Calla Lilies around the pool are starting to bloom 

Our 3 corn rows with 2 rows of sunflowers on the outer edges

Strawberries, spinach and lettuce and cherry tomatoes

on the left: Carrots and 6 tomatoe plants

on the right: Spaghetti squash and Zucchini

We have already harvested many zucchini....love our garden

We also planted a pumpkin patch, watermelon and cantaloupe in garden on the west side of yard

First Swim

First swim of the year in our pool
