Mason's Surgery

Mason getting ready for surgery. She wanted us to document everything.
Her fish had a code for us to look on tv screen to see what step of the surgery process she will be in. Her code was HA MA...which we kept saying "Hey, Ma !"(we sometimes call her Ma for short and this was cracking her up before surgery).
She is having her tonsils and adenoids removed
Valley Children's Hospital encouraged children to bring a "comfort" item with them on day of surgery

Always time for a quick pose in her hospital "scrubs"/gown.

They even put a hospital band on her tiger
Her gorgeous selfie pre-surgery
Getting rolled into the OR
In recovery

Starting to wake up
She was taken by wheelchair out to our car to go home, we tried to get a quick picture and this is when she started vomiting from the anesthesia.
...
The surgery went well, Praise God!
...
Her recovery on the other hand was hard!  She had a hard time swallowing and wouldn't drink or eat for several days, not even all the popsicles she picked out.  She was a strong girl the whole time and never cried.  She pushed through and was feeling better around day 10 and went back to school on post op day 13. By post op day 14, she was back to normal and eating normal foods and stating she didn't even know it all happened.  Such resilience.

Kathleen's work

I was surprised by one of the wonderful nurses that I work with at night. The hospital set up a system to compliment people we work with by sending a Valentine gram.....the sweet words on here make all the hard nights worth it.  I work with a great team!

Valentine's Day morning

I surprised the kids with heart shaped cinnamon rolls, strawberries and pink milk for breakfast before school.

We love celebrating Valentine's Day, will open fun love gifts when after school when Dad is home from work
Kids really wanted to give their teacher a Valentine's gift and both wanted to give them Starbucks gift cards, so we made these cute little card holders to give them.
