New Sea Lion Cove at Fresno Zoo

We made a spontaneous trip to the ZOO.
The kids with their maps ready to go! (they walked the whole time, a first for them!)
Loving the tractor
Mason was so happy to squeeze in
New Sea Lion Cove with the baby perched on a rock
Brother & Sister
Viewing area down below
(3 seals/sea lions in this picture)
They came right up to the glass where the kids were standing

Flamingos
Camel in with the giraffes
Funny faces for Giraffe
Love giraffes!
Brushing the goat while he chewed on the sign
Mason thought this baby goat was just for her....She gets so close to the animals and touches them all over (verses Corben who in the above picture is reaching his hand out and standing as far back as possible)
Mason was really into brushing the animals...
and petting the animals...she has no fear.  Touching their faces, horns, tails, everywhere!

This Orangutan was right by the fence just watching people

Sea Life Adventures

Aunt Amy had passes for us to visit the Sea Life Park in Avila, CA
The kids loved looking at all the animals

Daddy, Mason and the jellyfish
Corben loves jokes and making people laugh...a favorite joke in our house is....
"What fish loves peanut butter?...... jellyfish!"
The kids were able to touch some of the sea life
Mason touching a Star fish or Sea Star as the lady said

Love all the colors of the Star fish!

There was a little park near by and right on the beach, so we stopped and the kids played for a little while.

Attempt at family picture using the timer
Then we went to Avila Pier
There were many pelicans...this one about to enjoy a big fish
There were also stairs leading down to a large area of seals and sea lions
They were huge and we were right by them!
The sign going down the stairs warned that they bite, so we kept our distance and took a quick look
We saw a couple of seals just swimming right near the pier
the kids sat beyond the stairs and looked down at the seals, notice the one swimming in the background
We watched them for a long time!

Then we drove to Shell beach where Amy and the girls lived this past year
Gorgeous coastal view, many rocks and arches
In front of Amy's house is a big park, Corben and Mason never say no to playing at the park
Corben sitting with Madison (Payton's friend who was with us all week...Corben is a little bit girl crazy already, yikes....he wanted to play with Madison all the time!)
