Making Tamales

Melanie invited us over to learn to make tamales.

She had the masa ready and the pork to fill them made. We put masa on the husks and filled with pork and rolled up and then steamed them.

We also made sweet tamales with a sweet masa and we put in fresh pineapples

So yummy!

Gingerbread Houses

Well this year we took a turn and made Gingerbread DOG houses!

They both go to our church so it has been fun to see them more often, their grandson/nephew, Mateo is the same grade as Corben in school.

Pismo Beach day

We went to Pismo Beach and enjoyed our stop to see the Monarch butterfly grove 

Hard to see, but the bunches of stuff in the trees is hundreds of butterflies

Then we drove the truck onto Pismo Beach...so cool to drive on the beach
