Mason Kate is 8 months and such an alert and happy girl.

She is sitting up, rolling all over, bobbing her head and moving her feet all the time. 

She is "talking" baby babble, giggling, smiling, reaching, and pointing with her first finger.

She likes to eat: Acorn Squash, Butternut Squash, Yellow Squash, Peas, Sweet Potatoes, Pears, Plums, Bananas, and oatmeal cereal (all home made by Mommy).

We had Caleb's parents, siblings and their families to our house to celebrae Memorial Day!

We had three great days of relaxing and playing with all the kids. 

Thanks to Pop & Caleb, we also now have an orchard with our fruit trees planted!

Our little helpers...

We had a little water damage and after the repair, we needed to paint our dining room.

Don't worry, Mason only helped Daddy briefly and the windows were open for venting and the paint claims to be safe.

As for Corben, he is a hard core worker and helped til the end. 

Daddy set him up with a dry paint roller and he was happy

working side by side Mom & Dad as we painted the room.

Corben will occasionally let Mason ride along with him and

sometimes he lets her take the wheel!!

After Mason got out of the pool...Corben started splashing!

He would stand and then suddenly drop to a sitting position, sending up large splashes of water.

Thanks to Meme, he knows what a lollipop is and asked for one after pool time,

after watching his licking tongue and his words that sound very much like lick...and because he put his shorts back on...he got to enjoy a few licks of a lollipop!

Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip

Well....Mason has been diagnosed with Hip Dsyplasia.

We are scheduled to see an Orthopedic Surgeon.

Dysplasia of the Hip can be hereditary and Mommy's sister had it and had surgery at a young age.  Mason has been pretty tight with her legs, not flexing all the way open, a little restricted.  We are meeting with a couple of Orthopedic Surgeons to find the best treatment for her at this time.  Most likely she will need a brace or splint, a cast, and surgery in the near future.
